Top 10 Autumn Wedding Cakes

Autumn is most definitely my favourite season, I just love the colours that the leaves turn, I love the start of frosty mornings, and I love that smokey smell of an early evening bonfire wafting over the garden fence. You just can’t beat it.

With the summer wedding season now over, we are very much looking forward to the start of Autumn weddings. We’ve searched the internet high and low to find our favourite Autumn wedding cake designs this year, and these are our top 10:

One of my favourite cakes to date is a farm themed three tier fruitcake. And of course, our bake-off prize winner, the yellow bird!

I love a naked cake, there is something wonderful about the simplicity and elegance that you get from this type of cake, with just some simple floral arrangements in gorgeous oranges and pinks.  This brown and gold number by Bellaria Cakes just says Autumn through and through. I love the brushed metallic effect on the top tier, and that gold leaf pattern is so effective.

Nothing says Autumn like deer! I just love this simple painted cake featuring two deer, and the log cake stand is perfect for a design like this. Talking of logs, how amazing is this silver birch painted cake? I’ve got one of these coming up next year, so watch this space.

These gorgeous painted cupcakes are by Amelies House, I love the colour and detail in the leaves. And this chocolate cake features a rather different approach to painting. This floral design was painted on sugarpaste which had been cut to shape, and then attached to the cake after the ganache covering was applied. Stunning!

Finally, two more simple, yet utterly beautiful cakes that would be perfect for an Autumn wedding. Fruits such as blackberries, apples and currents are a wintery, yet beautiful decoration idea.
